In the Laxminarayan temple, the young man broke the statue of Maa Durga and threw the priest. The case is of Laxminarayan Temple located on Kirayach Road under Porsa police station area of the district. Entering the temple this afternoon, the young man fiercely created terror and broke the statue of mother Durga and threw it into the square.
When an attempt was made by the priest to stop the young man, the young man attacked the priest with a broken statue, causing injuries in the head of the priest. As soon as the matter was reported, the people nearby reached the temple and the injured priest was brought to the Primary Health Center Porsa. The treatment of the priest was started here immediately.
On the information of the incident, the police reached the temple and a criminal case has been registered against the accused. The police have caught the accused and now he is being questioned.
Priest’s statement revealed
Matadin Sharma, priest of Laxminarayan temple, said that the young man had entered the temple after drinking alcohol and started abusing me as soon as he came to the temple. After this he grabbed my collar and slammed us. After this, the young man tore the clothes of the idols present in the temple and broke an idol. Then he also attacked my head.
