If you book a cab from Android phone or iPhone on Ola or Uber, then there will be a difference in fare. The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has sent notice to cab aggregators Ola and Uber on Thursday.
Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi told on social media that the Department of Consumer Affairs looked at the subject and directed the CCPA to investigate. The complainants had reported that some phone models are shown more on the model, while others are shown less.
Ola and Uber have now been asked to clarify the reasons for the process of fixing their fare and the reasons for different fare.

Notice to cab aggregators after reports of different fare collecting fare
The CCPA has sent this notice to the cab aggregators after the reports that the two companies charge different fare for the same service. When passengers book a cab for the same place, they look different on Android and different fare on iPhone.
The matter came into the limelight in December when a X user shared a picture of two phones, allegedly shown different fare for a particular place on the Uber app.
As soon as the post went viral, Uber denied this, responding to the allegations. The company blamed other things, including pick-up points, estimate Arrival Time (ETA) and drop-off point, for any difference in fares.

App shows more app to regular customer After the share of these screen shots on social media, we also checked the fare from MP Nagar in Bhopal to Rajabhoj Airport on Ola app in iPhone and Android devices. In this, the fare in Android was showing us Rs 310-301.
At the same time, this fare in iPhone was Rs 322-368. At the same time, after checking the second time, he was telling more fare in Android. That is, in many places there is more money in Android and in the iPhone. Experts say that this is caused by a user behavior. If you are a regular customer, then you will get more money even if your device is the same because the app tracks every activity.

The fare from Rajbhoj Airport was checked from MP Nagar in Bhopal. 310 from Android and 322 fare from Apple.
