Jitendra Kumar recently told in an interview to Cyrus Bharucha, ‘I was born in Khairtal of Alwar district. I remember that we used to have a hut in the middle of the forest. However, there was also a permanent house which had 2 rooms and a hut adjacent to it. We lived there in a joint family. I remember clearly that we used to have a hut next to the permanent house. However, my father and uncle were civil engineers and had built 2-3 more rooms. But we continued to live in the hut for about 6-8 months.

Jitendra Kumar did his schooling from Rajasthan and took admission in civil engineering course at IIT Kharagpur. It was while completing his degree from here that the dream of becoming an actor came to Jitendra’s mind. It was from here that he started preparing to become an actor. Jitendra also worked in theater during his college days. After this he came to Mumbai to struggle. Here Jitendra started working with TVF, a startup started by his own college seniors. In the year 2015, a YouTube series named ‘Pitchers’ won the hearts of people. Jitendra played the lead role in this series. Jitendra’s career started from here. This hit series opened doors for Jeetendra and made him a Bollywood star.
