Tata Motors has launched petrol and diesel versions of its most popular car Nexon with panoramic sunroof. It is available in the top-of-the-line Fearless Plus PS trim. Its price has been kept at Rs 13.6 lakh for petrol MT, Rs 14.8 lakh for petrol DCT, Rs 15 lakh for diesel MT and Rs 15.6 lakh for diesel AMT (all prices ex-showroom).
The sub-4 meter SUV comes with over 60 connecting features in four trims – Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless. Apart from this, advanced features of comfort and safety have been added. The company recently introduced the CNG version of the SUV with panoramic sunroof. This compact SUV comes with turbo petrol engine. Therefore, this is the first car in India to come with turbo petrol engine and CNG combination.
In the sub-4 meter SUV segment, only Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 300 offer panoramic sunroof. The panoramic sunroof in the Is too much.
Nexon facelift exterior design.
Exterior: New design LED setup and alloy wheels will be available. Talking about design, new LED DRLs split headlamp setup has been given in the front of Nexon. Below this, LED headlamps have been installed on the sporty bumper. 16 inch diamond cut dual-tone alloy wheels will be available on the side.
A fully connected LED tail light is provided in the rear, which the company calls ‘X Factor Tail Lamp’. Welcome and goodbye function is also available in it. The car comes with 6 color options. These include Fearless Purple, Creative Ocean, Pure Grey, Flame Red, Daytona Gray and Pristine White.
Interior: 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system A two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel is provided in the cabin of the car. Apart from this, the car gets a touch panel HVAC unit on the dashboard and a new gear selector on the center console. Tata Nexon CNG will get a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Front ventilated seats are provided in the top variant of the car.
Features: Electric sunroof with voice command Tata Nexon is equipped with many advanced features. These include Tata’s IRA 2.0 mobile connected-technology, voice assisted electric sunroof, JBL 9-speaker sound system, wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, first-in-segment navigation display on the instrument cluster. Apart from this, cruise control, height adjustable driver seat, leather upholstery and electric panoramic sunroof with voice command is also available in the top variant of the car.
Safety Features: 360-degree camera and TPMS For safety, Nexon has 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, first category blind-view monitor, ESP, 6 airbags, hill-hold control, roll over mitigation, traction control, ISOFIX child anchor seat and tire pressure monitoring system ( Features like TPMS) are available.
Performance: Petrol, Diesel, CNG and Electric Tata Nexon is the first car in the country, which comes in four versions: petrol, diesel, CNG and electric. For performance, its ICE powered version has a 1.2 liter turbo-petrol, which generates power of 120PS and torque of 170Nm. With this, the choice of 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission) and 6-speed AMT (automated manual transmission) gearbox is available.
This engine generates power of 100PS and torque of 170Nm in iCNG. For transmission, it is tuned with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The option of automatic transmission is not yet given with it.
Apart from this, Nexon also has a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 115PS power and 260Nm torque, with which the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT gearbox is available.
