Skoda Auto India has launched the second generation model of premium full size SUV Skoda Kodiaq in the Indian market today (17 April). The company has introduced the SUV in the Indian market in two trims- sportline and Laurin and Clement.
The SUV has been launched with new exterior and interior design. It has features like 360 camera with 9 airbags for safety, but there are no advanced driving assist system (ADAS) features. The company claims that the car will get a mileage of 14.86kmpl.
In the global market, it comes in both 5 seats and 7 seats layouts. Its only 7 seater version in India has been launched with two variants. Its price starts at Rs 46.89 lakh (introductory ex-showroom, pan-India).
It was showcased at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. It will compete with Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line, Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tuson and Nissan X-Trell.

Exterior: updated design with 18-inch alloy wheel The design of Skoda Kodiak is upgraded. It has a new design hexagonal ‘butterfly’ grill, whose size has already been increased. On either side of it, there are more thin split matrix LED headlights with connecting LED strips.
Above the grill is a sculpted bonnet. Here Matt Dark Chrome has been given updated Skoda logo. At the same time, C-shaped elements and thin air dam have been given with a bumper at the bottom.
The side profile of Skoda Kodiak has 18-inch alloy wheels, which vary from the design variant. It has a silver touch on C-pillar. At the back, it has connected LED tail lamps.
The length of the SUV has been increased from 4.69 meters to 61mm to 4.75 meters, but wheelbase (2.71 m) and width (1.8 m) will remain the same.


Interior: 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system 2025 Kodiyak’s cabin is completely new. In this, you have been given a new layered Dashbard and a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system on it. It also has physical controls which are multitarge, meaning they can be used for climate control and infotainment for many tasks.
The gear selector has now been shifted to the steering column and several storage spaces are given under the Center Console. It has two cabin color theme: Black/tan with black and selection L&K with Sportline.

Feature: Three-Zone Climate Control and 13-Spiker Kenton Sound System In addition to 12.9-inch touchscreen in the feature list of Skoda Kodiak, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Three-Jone Climate Control, Two Wireless Phone Charger, Multi-Kolar Ambient lighting, Panoramic Sunroof, Penourmic Sunroof, Heating, Ventillation and Masque Functions in 2025 Kodiak, with three-wireless phone charger, multi-wireless phone charger, multi-wireless phone charger, canormic sunroof, canoling, ventilation and mass functions, 13-Spicker Kenton Sound System is provided.
Safety features: 9 airbags and 360 degree camera For the safety of the passenger, it has safety features such as 9 airbags, front with 360 degree camera and rear parking sensor, electronic stability control (ESC), park assist and electronic parking brake with auto hold. 2025 Skoda Kodiak will not be given Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
Performance: 2-liter turbo-petrol engine and 14.86kmpl mileage Skoda Kodayak comes with four engine options in the global market. This includes 1.5-liter turbo-petrol mild-hybrid, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol plug-in hybrid, 2-liter turbo-petrol engine and 2-liter diesel engine.
In India, it will be introduced with a 2-liter turbo-petrol engine. This engine generates power of 204ps and peak torque of 320Nm. It is tuned with a 7-speed DCT gearbox for transmission.
The car will come with all wheel drive drivers. The company claims that with this engine, 2025 Skoda Kodiaq will run 14.86 km in one liter petrol.
