PM Modi held a public meeting in Doda.
Doda: The election campaign is being conducted vigorously by the leaders of all the parties for the assembly elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, PM Modi also reached Doda to address an election rally. Here PM Modi addressed an election rally. PM Modi said, ‘You all have come here from different parts of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban. You have travelled for hours to come here. Despite this, there is no sign of fatigue on your faces and there is enthusiasm all around. I will repay this love of yours by working twice or thrice as hard. Together, we and you will build a safe and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir and this is Modi’s guarantee.’
Family members keep misleading
He said, ‘This time the elections of Jammu and Kashmir are going to decide the fate of Jammu and Kashmir. Since independence, our beloved Jammu and Kashmir has been targeted by foreign powers. After this, nepotism started hollowing out this state. The political parties you trusted here did not care about your children. Their political parties only promoted their own children. My youth of Jammu and Kashmir kept suffering in terrorism and the parties promoting nepotism kept enjoying themselves by misleading you. These people never allowed new leadership to emerge anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir.’
Panchayat elections were not held after 2000
PM said, ‘You also know that Panchayat elections were not held here after 2000, BDC elections were never held here. For decades, nepotism did not allow the promising youth of this place to come forward and that is why after coming to power in 2014, I have tried to bring forward the new leadership of the youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Then in 2018, Panchayat elections were held here, in 2019 BDC elections were held and in 2020 DDC elections were held for the first time. These elections were held so that democracy reaches the gross root in Jammu and Kashmir and the youth come forward to take charge of democracy. Those doing politics of nepotism did not want the youth here to come forward in politics. In the past years, a new era of development has come in Jammu and Kashmir. The credit for this goes to these youth. Today I salute the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, be it a daughter or a son, for their enthusiasm and passion.’
Three Khandaans vs. Naujawan
He said, ‘This time’s assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir is between three families and the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. On one side are three families and on the other side are my young sons and daughters of Jammu and Kashmir who have set out with dreams. One family is of Congress, one family is of National Conference, one family is of PDP. What these three families have done to you people together is no less than a sin. These three families are responsible for ruining Jammu and Kashmir for decades. These three families encouraged corruption here, encouraged land grabbing gangs. You people were made to yearn and suffer for small facilities, only those people were recruited in government jobs who were close to these three families. These three families prepared the ground for separatism and terrorism here and the enemies of the country took advantage of it. These people were nurturing terrorism so that their business worth billions of rupees could continue. Because of their crime, thousands of our youth lost their lives.
Sometimes an undeclared curfew was imposed at dusk
PM said, ‘Remember the time when an undeclared curfew was imposed here as soon as the day ended. All the shops and work came to a standstill. The situation was such that even the Home Minister of the Central Government was afraid of going to Lal Chowk. Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is now counting its last breaths. The change that has come in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 10 years is no less than a dream. The stones that were earlier raised to throw at the police and the army are now being used to build a new Jammu and Kashmir. All this has been done by you. Taking forward this faith of yours, Jammu and Kashmir BJP has taken many resolutions for you. Today itself we have remembered and paid tribute to Tika Lal Taploo ji, on this day he was martyred by terrorists. It was only after his murder that atrocities against Kashmiri Pandits started. BJP raised its voice and worked in the interest of Kashmiri Pandits. Jammu and Kashmir BJP has also decided to bring a white paper to get justice to all the victims of terrorism. BJP does not just say, it shows by doing.’
It was a dream to open a medical college
He said, ‘The political parties that ruled Jammu and Kashmir for years never paid attention to the future of your children. Earlier, one had to struggle so much to open a school here. One had to protest for every work. Despite this, many years would pass and nothing would happen. Opening a medical college was no less than a dream. When you go home from here, think why your children were deprived of all this. Those whom you considered your own, they never considered you their own. You were just a ladder for them to reach power. This is Modi, who cares about your children, cares about your future. I want every child of Jammu and Kashmir to get good education and every child should progress, that is why in the last four-five years, the BJP government has built many schools and many colleges here. You see for yourself how long there was a demand for a medical college in Doda, which has now been fulfilled.’
Film and tourism will get a boost
PM said, ‘There was a time when the youth here were forced to go to other states for better education, today seats have been increased in every college. BJP has announced Pandit Premnath Dogra Rozgar Yojana. If BJP government is formed, then the youth going to college will also be given traveling allowance. BJP is going to form such a government which will be terror free and a paradise for tourists. After the increase in terrorism, film people stopped coming here, but now people from not only the country but from all over the world should come here to shoot films, so we are making a new film policy. Now hotels, restaurants, dhabas are flourishing here. Every year lakhs of tourists are coming. Big hotels are being built here. The central government is also strengthening connectivity here so that tourism can expand further here.’
Every village is getting connected with essential services
He said, ‘Earlier it used to take 6-8 hours to go from Jammu to Ramban and Banihal, now people say that one can reach Banihal from Jammu in 3 hours. We are connecting the untouched parts of Jammu and Kashmir with rail. Very soon, a train will go from Delhi to Srinagar via Ramban. The work of the railway line is complete, the station is ready and the trial has also started. Very soon this part will also be connected to the whole country through railways. It is our resolve to provide better education and better treatment to the poor families here. Jammu and Kashmir is that state of the country where every family gets free treatment up to five lakhs. Now BJP has announced to provide free treatment up to seven lakhs to every family. It is also BJP’s priority to reduce the problems in the lives of women. In the last 10 years, water, electricity and mobile towers have reached even the far-flung villages, this has also made the lives of mothers and sisters easier. BJP has announced to deposit Rs 18000 every year in the account of the eldest woman in the family. This money will give every family new resources and new solutions to increase their income.
Beware of those who keep the Constitution in their pockets
PM said, ‘The BJP government will also give full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, but you have to be cautious of such people who have been snatching your rights for their selfishness. These days these people keep the constitution in their pockets. There is no respect, and why are they pretending, they are doing it to hide their black deeds. Every child of Jammu and Kashmir knows what the reality is. These people had scratched the soul of the constitution made by Baba Saheb, otherwise what was the reason that two constitutions were in force in Jammu and Kashmir. Pahaadi brothers and sisters have come here, what is the reason that they have not got reservation for so many years. Here these people did not even take the name of SC-ST-OBC. After so many generations, BJP has given them reservation. There are many friends who have got the right to vote for the first time.’
They will snatch away the rights by bringing Article 370
He said, ‘I will also tell all the mothers and sisters that they have betrayed you too. I also want to tell all the Muslim daughters that when we talked about triple talaq, the National Conference, PDP and Congress opposed it. They are not your supporters, they only think about their own interests. It is important for you to know what these people are saying and what will be its result. NC, PDP and Congress want to bring back Article 370, for you it will mean that these three families together will snatch the reservation of the Pahari community again, snatch the right to vote, if 35A comes back then the old restrictions will be imposed on the rights of mothers and sisters. If their manifesto is implemented then children will have stones in their hands, businesses will be closed, youth will roam unemployed. Will you let them bring back those dreadful days?’
Board of love shop on the shop of hatred
PM said, ‘They talk about the constitution and roam around with a board of ‘Mohabbat ki Dukan’ (shop of love) on the shop of hatred. One pillar of democracy is our media, I read a news today that a newspaper representative who went to America was tortured, he has put his story in front of the public. The way an Indian son and a journalist was treated by locking him in a room on the soil of America, are they working to increase the prestige of the constitution and democracy. The word constitution does not suit your mouth. You have to be careful of the false promises of Congress. You can see the example of the Congress government in Himachal. They ruined the entire state to get votes there. Today everyone is on the road there. You have to be careful of them. These people put the public in trouble.’
We don’t run the government to put people in jail
He said, ‘When I was alerting the country, all these people together made fun of me, abused me and the whole country is seeing that big troubles have arisen in the Congress-ruled states. Their intentions are also clear from the words of their president. They come here and say that if we had got 20 seats more, all the BJP leaders including Modi would have been in jail. Is this your only agenda? After 60 years, the public has given us a chance to serve three times, but we do not run the government to put the leaders in jail. When there is no positive thinking, then there is no agenda for them except putting them in jail. They cannot think of anything other than showing hatred. They have also discriminated against Jammu. You have heard what kind of comments these people have made on the kings, all this is an insult to the Dogras. The people of Jammu and Kashmir will never tolerate this insult. The resolve of the BJP and your support will make Jammu and Kashmir prosperous. Therefore, on September 18, all the BJP candidates have to be made victorious by voting for them.’
