Palestinian flag was hoisted on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad in Mandla and Balaghat
Eid-e-Milad was celebrated with enthusiasm in every corner of the country today, but some miscreants took out processions in two districts of Madhya Pradesh and waved the ‘Palestinian flag’, due to which the police has now come into action mode. According to the information received, during the Eid-e-Milad procession in Mandla and Balaghat districts, some people waved the ‘Palestinian flag’, regarding which the police has registered a case and in this case two separate cases have been registered and some people have been arrested.
Flag hoisted in Mandla
In Mandla, a youth allegedly waved a Palestinian flag at Chilman Square during an Eid procession. Mandla Superintendent of Police Rajat Saklecha said, “Based on complaints of waving a flag similar to the Palestinian flag, the accused youth has been detained and legal action is being taken against him.” SP Saklecha said that the allegation of raising slogans in support of Palestine in Rajgarh could not be confirmed. On this, Mandla Kotwali police station in-charge Shafiq Khan informed that the accused Fardeen and others have been arrested under section 197 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).
The flag was also hoisted in Balaghat
According to the information, a complaint was lodged with the police in Balaghat city that a person and his companions waved the flag of Palestine at Mahavir Chowk during the Eid-e-Milad procession. The complainant said that this act has hurt the sentiments of the residents and it can create discord in the society. Police have registered a case against Shakib and other unknown persons under section 197 (2) of the BNS. Police have started taking legal action in both these incidents.
Stone pelting in Mandsaur
There have been reports of stone pelting during the procession in Mandsaur district as well. Here anti-social elements threw stones at the temple, which led to a dispute. A youth from the other side was injured after being hit by the stone. Hindu organizations were enraged by this incident, after which the police reached the spot and controlled the situation.
