Windsor EV
MG Motor India today (September 11) launched its first crossover utility vehicle (CUV) ‘Windsor’ in the Indian market. The company has introduced it at an introductory price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG’s ‘Windsor’ EV has a 38 kWh lithium ion battery pack, which generates 136 PS of power and a maximum torque of 200NM. Once fully charged, the car will give a range of 331Km.
The car has 604 liters of boot space, 8.8 inch digital cluster and wireless charging facility. In the Indian market, the car will be available in three variants and four colors.
The company will take its booking from the first day of Navratri (3 October) and will start delivery on Dussehra (13 October). MG Motor has built it in partnership with JSW.
Windsor customers will get free public charging facility on MG e-HUB for the first one year. The car has sedan-like comfort and SUV-like space. Apart from this, features like the largest Grandview 15.6 touch display in its segment, panoramic infinity view glass roof, aero-lounge seats have also been provided.

Comes in two battery pack options abroad, range up to 460km This car is sold in Indonesia under the name Wuling Cloud EV. Cloud EV comes with two battery pack options-
- The 37.9kWh battery pack option offers a range of 360km.
- The 50.6kWh battery pack option has a claimed range of 460km.
It is powered by a front-axle-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 134hp of power. The EV is around 4.3 metres long with a 2,700mm wheelbase. It looks like an MPV, but it will only be available with a 5-seat configuration.
Comfort features like electrically adjustable front seats The company is calling it India’s first intelligent CUV. The car has features like 8.8-inch digital driver display, wireless phone charging, multi-color ambient lighting, electric adjustable front seats and electric tailgate.
Safety Features: ADAS with 6 airbags Safety features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic parking brake and 360 degree camera have been provided in the car.
Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is also provided in the Windsor EV, under which functions like adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking can be available.
