Automobile companies increase the prices of their vehicles every year and April.
Maruti Suzuki’s 7 cars will become expensive by 62 thousand rupees from April 8. The company said in the exchange filing that, due to the increase in Raw Material and Operational Cost, it has been decided. Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of its vehicles for the third time in 2025 so far.
The first increase was in January 2025, in which the company announced an increase of up to 4%. The price was increased for the second time in February 2025, with an increase of 1% to 4% on the basis of model. The highest increase was up to ₹ 32,500 in the Celerio model.

Other automobile companies also increased prices
Companies like other automobile companies, Hyundai Motor India, Mahindra & Mahindra, Mercedes Benz, Reno India, Kia Motors, Honda BMW Motors and Audi have also announced an increase in the prices of their vehicles since April-2025.
Reason for increasing prices
All automobile companies have given almost the same reason behind increasing prices. Over all manufacturing costs are increasing due to increase in input cost and logistics. Due to this, companies are increasing prices. This decision of companies will directly affect the pockets of customers, especially on customers who are considering buying new cars.

Maruti sales increased by 3% in March
Maruti Suzuki sold 1,92,984 vehicles in March, while a total of 1,87,196 vehicles were sold in the same month a year ago. Maruti’s total sales have increased by 3% on an annual basis. According to the company, in the country last month, it sold 1,50,743 passenger vehicles (PV), while in March 2024, the company had a domestic sales of PV 1,52,718 units.
Maruti’s small cars sold decreased
The sales of small cars such as Alto and S -reso declined last month to 11,655 units, which was 11,829 units in March-2024. At the same time, the sale of ‘compact’ cars like Baleno, Dzire, Ignis and Swift also came down to 66,906 units in March, which was 69,844 units in the same month a year ago.
Sales of utility vehicles like Grand Vitara, Brezza, Ertiga and XL6 increased to 61,097 units last month, which was 58,436 in March last year. Van Eco sales were 10,409 units last month, compared to 12,019 units in March last year.
At the same time, the sales of Light Commercial Vehicle Super Carrie decreased to 2,391 units, which was 3,612 units in March last year. The company exported 32,968 vehicles in March, while the last year had 25,892 units exported.

More than 2 million vehicles were sold for the second consecutive year
The company said that in the last financial year (2024–25) it sold a total of 22,34,266 vehicles, while it had a selling of 21,35,323 units in the last financial year. The company said that it has sold more than 2 million vehicles for the second consecutive year.
In the last financial year, the company sold a total of 17,60,767 units of passenger vehicles in India, while 17,59,881 units were sold in FY2023-24. The company said that in the last financial year (2024-25) it had exported 3,32,585 vehicles. At the same time, the company exported 2,83,067 vehicles in FY2023-24.
Maruti’s share 1.83 a day% Climbed
Maruti’s stock today rose 209.90 (1.83%) to close at Rs 11,691. This year the stock has climbed 4.31%. At the same time, it has fallen by 7.56% in 6 months.

Maruti Suzuki’s profit up 16% in the third quarter
Maruti Suzuki had a net profit of Rs 3,727 crore in the third quarter of FY 2024-25. It increased 16% on an annual basis. The company made a profit of Rs 3,206 crore in the same quarter of a year ago.
The company’s revenue from the operation was Rs 38,764 crore. In the same quarter of a year ago, Maruti recorded a revenue of Rs 33,512 crore. It has increased by 15.67% on an annual basis. The amount received from selling goods and services is called revenue.
Maruti was owned by the Government of India in 1981
Maruti Suzuki was established on 24 February 1981 as Maruti Industries Limited under the ownership of the Government of India. In 1982, the company, along with Suzuki Corporation of Japan, formed the joint venture ‘Maruti Suzuki India Limited’.
The first budget car for Indians launched Maruti 800 in 1983. At an ex -showroom price of Rs 47,500, the company enabled a large section of the country to buy a car. Maruti Suzuki has sold about 3 crore vehicles in the country in the last 40 years.
