Lentil Kachori
Kachori is very tasty to eat. Even today, kachori is made in Indian homes as a dish. Kachori made from urad dal is very tasty to eat. You can make them and take them with you when you travel somewhere. Urad dal kachori does not spoil for a week. You can make them as a snack with tea or eat them with chutney. Know how to make urad dal kachori without them breaking and what is the recipe?
Ingredients for making Urad Dal Kachori:
- Refined flour – 2 cups
- Oil – 4 teaspoons
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Water to knead the dough
- Urad dal – 250 grams
- Whole coriander – 2 tsp
- Fennel – 1 tsp
- Cumin – 1 tsp
- Dried red chillies – 2
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Ginger – 1 tsp chopped
- Green chillies – 4 chopped
- Green coriander – 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Urad Dal Kachori Recipe:
First step: To make kachori, first knead the dough. For this, add oil and salt to the flour and knead it. Now add water little by little and knead a soft dough. Keep the dough covered with a wet cloth.
Step 2: To make Kachori, soak urad dal for 2-3 hours and then wash and grind it coarsely. Now add cumin, fennel, coriander and soap red chilli in the pan and roast it. Put all the things in the mixer and grind it to make a powder.
Step 3: Heat 4 spoons of oil in a pan and add asafoetida. Now add chopped green chillies and ginger. Add the prepared paste of urad dal and fry the dal. When the dal becomes slightly dry, add the prepared powder of ground spices. Add turmeric and chilli powder to it and fry the dal paste till it becomes dry.
Step 4: When the dough is set, break a ball and roll it a little to make it bigger. Now put 1-2 spoons of lentil stuffing in it and close the kachori from all sides. If you want, you can expand the kachori a little with your hand or with a rolling pin.
Step 5: Now bake all the prepared kachoris on low flame till they turn brown. Hot dal kachoris are ready. If you make kachoris with this trick, not even a single kachori will break. You can easily eat them for 1 week.
