Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the new variant of its popular SUV Scorpio-N Z4 automatic variant. It is placed above the base variant Z2. This has made Scorpio N even cheaper with automatic transmission.
Earlier, the Z4 variant was available with just 6-speed manual gearbox. It has now been given a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox with both petrol and diesel engine options. Apart from this, no change has been made in the car.
The ex-showroom price of Z4 Petrol Automatic is Rs 17.39 lakh, while the Z4 Diesel Automatic is priced at Rs 17.86 lakh. Prior to this update, the option of automatic gearbox in Scorpio-N was available in the Z6 variant (price ₹ 18.91 lakh) in diesel and the Z8 select variant (price ₹ 19.06 lakh) in petrol.
In comparison, the new Scorpio Z4 automatic model petrol is Rs 1.05 lakh and diesel is cheaper by Rs 1.67 lakh. In India, it competes with Tata Harrier and Safari, while in this price range it also competes with Hyundai Creta and Kiya Seltose’s top line variants.
