The son was running the school in place of his father
A case of fraud has been revealed in a government school in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh. In this case, an FIR has been registered against the school’s headmaster and his son on charges of fraud. Officials said that the headmaster’s son was found teaching and managing the school in place of his father, after which a case has been registered against both father and son. This was revealed when Anuppur District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tanmay Vashisht Sharma visited the government primary and secondary school located at Cholna, 25 km from the district headquarters.

Sharma said that during the inspection, the headmaster Chaman Lal Kanwar and two other guest teachers were not present in the school. Instead, Kanwar’s son Rakesh Pratap Singh was found teaching in the school and managing the school. Block Resource Center Officer Vishnu Mishra said that he had written a letter to the Jaithari police station in-charge to register a case against the teacher’s son. Jaithari police station in-charge Rakesh Dharia said that a complaint was received that in the absence of the headmaster, his son was running the school illegally and unauthorizedly and also teaching.
FIR lodged against father and son
He informed that a case of fraud has been registered against the headmaster Chaman Lal Kanwar and his son Rakesh Pratap Singh under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Anuppur District Panchayat CEO Tanmay Vashisht Sharma is currently inspecting various schools to test the education being provided to the children so that the future of the country can be prepared well. During the inspection, he also evaluated the use of the teacher’s manual and student exercise book and the overall learning level of the students.
The Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat interacted with the students of primary schools Sanjay Nagar, Sadri, Devgaon, Padriya and asked them questions. The implementation of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Mission was found to be better at many places. Whereas, instructions were given to take action against those found negligent at many places.
