Jio Star has launched a new OTT platform ‘Jio Hotstar’. This platform is made of merger of Jio Cinema and Disney Plus Hotstar. Now users will get to see content of both Jio Cinema and Disney Plus Hotstar at one place.
The step has been taken after WiCom-18 and Star India recently working together with Jio Star. Three months and one year subscription plans have been introduced on Jio Hotstar for access to available content.

AI Powered Insights-Malti-Angle viewing facilities will also be available
Apart from 4K streaming, Jio Hotstar AI will provide facilities such as AI Powered Insights, Real-Time States overlay, multi-angle viewing and even ‘Special Interest’ feeding. Jio Hotstar plans for mobile will start from Rs 149 for three months.
CEO Kiran Mani of Jio Hotstar said that the purpose of this platform is to provide premium entertainment to all Indians. With more than 1.4 billion Indians to get content available in 10 languages, Jio will allow Jio Hotstar users to watch their favorite shows, movies and live sports from the same app.
Companies like Warner Boss and HBO will also get content
In an announcement, Jio Hotstar said that the customers of Jio Cinema and Disney Plus Hotstar would be able to easily go to the new platform. Apart from original content, Jio Hotstar will also get content of companies like NBC Universal Peacock, Warner Boss, Discovery, HBO and Paramount, which does not provide any other streaming service at this time.
Sparks also introduced, you will be able to watch cricket tournaments like IPL here
Jio Hotstar has also introduced sparks. This is a new initiative, which will reveal India’s largest digital creator. This platform will also be home to the premiere cricket tournament like IPL, WPL and ICC events. You will also be able to see domestic leagues like Premier League, Wimbledon, Pro Kabaddi and ISL.
