Congress released list of 21 candidates for Jharkhand
Ranchi: Congress has released the list of its candidates for Jharkhand assembly elections. Congress has currently released the list of 21 candidates. Congress has given tickets to Dr. Irfan Ansari from Jamtara, Mamta Devi from Ramgarh, Munna Singh from Hazaribagh, Ajay Nath Sahdev from Hatia. Rameshwar Oraon has been made the candidate from Lohardaga.
BJP has already released the list in Jharkhand
Elections for 81 assembly seats of Jharkhand will be held in two phases on 13 and 20 November. The election results will be released on November 23. Amidst the preparations for the elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the main constituent of the NDA alliance, had released the first list of 66 candidates. At the same time, the deadlock over seat sharing was continuing between the constituent parties of the ruling ‘India’ alliance. Meanwhile, Congress had said on Monday night that on Tuesday the complete picture regarding who will contest on how many seats will be clear.
The party’s Central Election Committee (CEC) had discussed the names of possible candidates for the Jharkhand Assembly elections. In the CEC meeting held at the party headquarters, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, party parliamentary party chief Sonia Gandhi, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal, state in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, State Congress Committee President Keshav Mahato and others from Jharkhand were present. Some other senior leaders also attended.

The meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Congress regarding the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections had ended on Monday evening itself. News had come out that 63 seats of Maharashtra were discussed in the meeting. The first list of Congress candidates for Maharashtra may come on October 23.
Congress may get more than 110 seats in Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). 63 names were discussed in the meeting, out of which 50 names were single. However, taking lessons from Haryana, the party is also brainstorming on single names. There was discussion on 10 to 12 such seats in which there is more than one name.
