Jeep India has launched its popular SUV Meridian facelift in the Indian market today (21 October). Minor cosmetic changes have been made to the facelifted Meridian. Apart from this, extra features and new variants have been added.
The car now comes in 4 trims – Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O) and Overland. Its Limited and X variants have been discontinued. It will compete with Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq.
The updated Meridian is offered with 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 24.99 lakh (introductory ex-showroom Pan-India). The starting price of the car has decreased by Rs 5 lakh.
The starting price of pre-facelift Meridian was Rs 31.23 lakh. Bookings for the new Meridian have already started. You can book it by paying token money of Rs 50 thousand. Delivery of the car will start by the end of this month.

Exterior: 7 color options with LED lighting setup The exterior design of the new Jeep Meridian remains the same as before, but now it has LED projector headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels and LED taillights. 7 color options are available in the car. These include Silver Moon + Black Roof, Galaxy Blue + Black Roof, Velvet Red + Black Roof, Techno Metallic Green + Black Roof, Magnesio Gray + Black Roof, New Pearl White + Black Roof and Brilliant Black color options.
The 2025 Meridian has a redesigned front grille and the honeycomb mesh in the 7-slat grille now gets chrome studs. Apart from this, sharkfin antenna, skid plate and chrome surround all around are included.

Interior: Seat upholstery will be available with 4 new color combination options. The car has been introduced with 7-seater and 5-seater options. The 5-seater layout will be available only in Longitude and Longitude Plus variants. Its interior layout is also the same as before, but now it has been given new themed upholstery with 4 color combination options. Black and seal gray theme is available in Longitude and Longitude Plus variants. Whereas, the Limited (O) variant will come with Beige + Black and the Overland variant will come with Tupelo + Black color theme.

Performance: Mileage of 16.25 kilometers per liter As before, the SUV has a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder multijet diesel engine, which generates power of 168hp and torque of 350Nm. It has the option of 4×4 with 4×2 drivetrain and 6-speed manual and 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox for transmission. The car also has the option of front wheel drive and all wheel drive. The company claims that the Meridian will run 16.25 kilometers on one liter diesel.

Features: 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and ADAS Talking about the features, the freestanding 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit on its dashboard is standard across all variants, while the 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster is available only with Limited (O) and Overland trims. The Longitude and Longitude Plus feature a semi-digital instrument cluster. Apart from this, the SUV gets panoramic sunroof, leatherette steering wheel, wireless charger, 9-speaker Alpine sound system and U-Connect suite of connected features.
For the safety of passengers, all variants of the SUV come standard with rear seatbelt reminder, 6 airbags and disc brakes on all wheels. The top-spec Overland gets adaptive cruise control and advanced driver assist system (ADAS). Apart from this, there are also features like Smart Beam Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning and Collision Mitigation Braking, TPMS, ESC and 360-degree camera with rear parking sensor.
