Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand Vida has launched a cheaper variant of its popular electric scooter in India. The company has named it Vida VX2, but is calling it Evooter and it will run 142 km on full charge.
The company has introduced the electric scooter in two variants with the battery rental program ‘Battery Edge A SWAS’ (BAAS). The initial ex-showroom price of Vida VX2 is Rs 99,490. At the same time, its initial price with BAAS program is ₹ 59,490, but it does not include the price of battery.

Bollywood star Anil Kapoor became the first customer of this scooter, which was handed over the key by Hero MotoCorp Chairman Pawan Munjal.
The company will change for free if the battery performance is 70% reduced
Hero says that you will have to pay 96 paise/km charge on purchasing VX2 with a battery rental program. In this, the performance of the battery is reduced by 70%, then the company will convert it for free. This e-scooter will compete with TVS ICube, Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 and Ather Risk. Its delivery is expected to begin soon.

What is a battery edge -in -world program?
Battery Edge A.S. It was first made by MG Motor India with Windsor EV. It does not include the price of battery pack in its price when purchasing electric vehicles. Instead, you are taken money according to the use of batteries (per kilometer).
That is, according to the number of kilometers you drive, the company will have to pay the cost rental fee of the battery. Here you have to pay every month as EMI, but you have to bear the cost of charging the battery yourself. This plan is beneficial for those who want to keep early expenses low and do not want to take tension of battery maintenance or replacement.
Design: 7 color options with All LED lighting setup
Hero Vida VX2’s design is modern, practical and family-friendly, making it perfect for city riders and domestic use. The e-scooter is the production version of the Vida Z concept introduced in EICMA-2024 and is similar to Vida V2, but has some special changes.
Sleek and Smaud: The design of VX2 is clean and minimalistic. It has no sharp corner like Vida V2, but curved soft looks, which gives it modern and youthful vibe.
7 color option: 7 color options are available in Vida VX2. This includes Nexus Blue, Matte White, Orange, Matt Lime, Pearl Black and Pearl Red. Metallic gray and orange will be found only in plus variants.
LED Lighting: E-scooter gives LED headlamps, LED taillight and LED DRLs (daytime running lights) give it a premium look and gives better visibility at night.


Performance: 6kwh power and top speed 80kmph
Electric scooters have a permanent magnet synchronous motor for performance, which generates 6KWH power and 25Nm torque. Plus variants provide 3 ride mode- Eco, ride and sports. At the same time, there is no sports mode in Go.
The company claims that Vida’s Go variant can hold a speed of 0 to 40kmph in just 4.2 seconds. At the same time, plus takes 3.1 seconds. The top speed of the scooter is 80kmph in sports mode, 70kmph in ride mode and 45kmph in eco mode.
Range and charging: range up to 142km on full charge
To give power to the motor, a single removable battery pack of 2.2KWH has been given in the Go variant, which gets a 92KM IDC range on full charge. According to the company, there will be a range of 64km in Eco mode in real world condition and 48km in ride mode.
At the same time, two removable battery packs of 3.4kwh have been given in the plus variant, which gives a 142km IDC range on full charge. According to the company, there will be a range of 100km in Eco mode, 75km in ride mode and 65km in sports mode.
Talking about charging, both batteries in plus variants take 5:39 hours to charge 0 to 100%. At the same time, the single battery in Go variant takes 3:43 hours to charge 0 to 100%. Both have removable and IP67-rated batteries and it takes 120 minutes to charge 0-100% from fast charger.


Hardware: 33.2 liter Undecessive Boot Space
Hero Vida VX2 is built on the tubular frame of Vida V2 itself. It has 12-inch alloy wheels on both sides. The e-scooter has a dual telescopic forks in the front for comfort riding and adjustable single monoshock absorpor in the rear.
At the same time, disk in the front of the plus variant for braking has been given and drum brakes in the rear. Drum brakes are available on both sides of the Go variant, but both variants have a combined braking system (CBS).
Talking about the undercare boot space, there is a 27.2-liter in plus and 33.2-liter in Go. At the same time, both have a front cuby hole with a 6.1-liter space.
