Geeta Jayanti 2024 auspicious puja time
In the year 2024, the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month will start on 11th December at 3.42 am. The Ekadashi date will end at 1:10 pm on 12th December. The festival of Geeta Jayanti is celebrated on Margashirsha Ekadashi itself, hence as per Udayatithi, Geeta Jayanti will be celebrated on 11th December. On this day, by worshiping as per rituals and reciting Geeta, you attain knowledge and salvation.
The auspicious time in the morning for worship on the day of Geeta Jayanti will be from 5:15 am to 6:09 am. Along with this, there will be Amrit Kaal from 9:34 am to 11 am, during this time also you can recite and worship Geeta. You should perform evening puja after sunset.
Geeta Jayanti 2024 puja method
Geeta Jayanti is one of the most auspicious days of Hindu religion. It is believed that on this day Lord Krishna gave the knowledge of Geeta to Arjun. By worshiping as per rituals on this day, you get many benefits. On the day of Geeta Jayanti, you should start the puja in the morning after taking bath and meditation. After this, you should wear clean clothes and clean the place of worship and sprinkle Ganga water there.
During the worship of Geeta Jayanti, along with Bhagavad Gita, you should keep lamps, flowers, sandalwood, Akshat, basil leaves, sweets etc. at the place of worship.
After this, you should worship Lord Krishna and Vishnu by lighting incense sticks. After this, you must recite any one chapter of Geeta during the puja. According to scholars, it is very auspicious to recite the 18th chapter of Geeta on the day of Geeta Jayanti. After reciting Geeta, you should end the puja by chanting the mantra “Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay”. After the completion of the puja, make sure to distribute Prasad. You also benefit by doing charity on this day.
