Indian Railways has rolled out its new app for Android users. This app will give passengers from ticket booking to train status and food order at one place.
Apart from this, using this app will be able to solve any problems related to their journey easily. It has been developed by the Center for Railway Information SIM (CRIS).
‘Swarel’ integrates different digital services of Indian Railways on the same platform, so that passengers will not need to download different apps. Therefore, it is being called a super app.
How to use
The Swaril has become available for Android users (version V127) on the Google Play Store. It has been downloaded by more than 1 lakh people so far. However, this Apple app is not available in the store. Android users can follow the steps given below to download it.
- step 1: Open Google Play Store on mobile, search swarail and click on this icon and install it.
- Step-2: Open users using the beta version, login with IRCTC Rail Connect or UTS mobile username/password.
- Step-3: Choose new users register options, create an account by entering mobile number, email and password.
- Step-4: Set mpin or login with fingerprint or face id, use OTP with mobile number for guest login.
- Step-5: For the first time an automatic R-wallet is formed on the login, the current UTS R-Wallet is link.
- Step-6: Choose reserved/unreserved/platform tickets on the homepage, book by putting stations, date, class.
- other services: Check PNR status, train live tracking, food order, complaint from RAIL MadAD, refund request and coach position.
IRCTC app will not end With the introduction of the new app, the importance of IRCTC will remain, as this platform is focused on train ticket booking and tourism service. ‘Swarail’ will serve as a one-stop solution, where ticket booking as well as many other facilities will be available. This app will give a better experience to users by sympliating the digital services of the railway.
