Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Assembly Elections 2024: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has come into the center of discussion these days because of one of his slogans. During the assembly elections held in Haryana, he had given the slogan ‘If you divide, you will be divided’ and now the echo of this slogan is being heard in Jharkhand as well as Maharashtra. How much this slogan of Yogi has created a stir in the elections of both the states can be gauged from the reaction of the opposition leaders. Let us understand why this slogan is becoming a hit in the assembly elections of Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
Issue of Bangladeshi infiltration looms large in Jharkhand
These days the issue of infiltration of Bangladeshis is in focus in Jharkhand. The seriousness of this issue can be gauged from the fact that opposition leaders are not seen speaking openly on it. At the same time, BJP alleges that due to Bangladeshi infiltration, demography has changed in many areas of Jharkhand and people who believe in Sanatan Dharma are facing problems. Let us tell you that in recent months, communal tension has been seen in many areas of Jharkhand and this is the reason why Yogi’s slogan of ‘If you divide, you will be cut’ is going on in the hearts and minds of the people.
Hemant Soren replied to Yogi Adityanath
Now the opponents have also started responding to the slogan of ‘If you divide, you will be cut’, which was prevalent in the Jharkhand elections. When Yogi appealed to the people to remain united through his slogan in the rallies in Jharkhand, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren tried to answer Yogi. Kharge and Soren said that the public knows very well whose agenda is to divide and divide. Criticizing the BJP, Soren claimed that no Hindu is in danger in the state, but the opposition party is only trying to create tension here through its Hindu-Muslim discourse.
Why did Yogi’s slogan create a stir in the opposition?
After all, why has Yogi Adityanath created a stir in the opposition with his slogan? The simple answer to this could be the recently concluded assembly elections in Haryana. This slogan of Yogi definitely created a stir in Haryana and contributed to BJP winning a lost battle. When Yogi raised the issues of Soren government’s corruption, protection to mafia, love jihad, land jihad and Bangladeshi infiltrators in his recent election rallies in Jharkhand, the public supported him. But the biggest applause in these meetings was on the slogan ‘If you divide, you will be cut’. Political experts believe that seeing the reaction of people on this slogan has created a stir in the opposition.
Shivraj gave the slogan ‘If you join, only then you will be saved’
On the lines of Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has also given the slogan of ‘Join, only then you will be saved’. Addressing the people, he said that if Jharkhand has to be saved then everyone will have to unite. On the other hand, Mughals and Aurangzeb were also mentioned extensively in Yogi’s rallies. Yogi said that just as ‘Alamgir’ Aurangzeb had once looted the country, in the same way minister in Soren government Alamgir Alam is looting Jharkhand. Accusing the Soren government of promoting corruption in the state, he said that Alamgir Alam is filling his coffers by looting the public.
‘People who distribute are giving advice to others’
Yogi And reply to Shivraj was given by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren as well as Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Kharge, while attacking Yogi in Kanke rally, said that the people who divide are now advising others that those who divide will be divided. The senior Congress leader said that the agenda of dividing and cutting is that of RSS and BJP, the people of Jharkhand should be alert about this. While targeting BJP, Hemant Soren said that those who are trying to divide the people for votes, they will be destroyed forever. He said that the country will not accept such people.
Yogi’s slogan is prevalent in Maharashtra also
Yogi’s slogan of ‘If you divide you will be divided’ is very popular not only in Jharkhand but also in Maharashtra. All the BJP leaders are raising the slogan of ‘If you divide, you will be divided’ and are asking people to vote unitedly. BJP leaders feel that Muslims vote against their party outright, but the Hindu society gets divided into castes and the party’s opponents take advantage of this. That is why the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party are repeatedly reminding the people of the Hindu community in the elections that if they are divided among castes, then the same danger will come as faced by the Hindus in Bangladesh.
