Delhi minister Atishi
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a big announcement on Sunday. He has said that he will resign from the post after two days. After this, reactions from political leaders have started coming. Meanwhile, statements of Aam Aadmi Party leaders have also come out on this decision of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi Minister Atishi said that today Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has set a new example of honesty. This is the first time in the politics of this country that a leader has asked for the public mandate that if you trust my honesty then vote, otherwise don’t. Therefore, now the people of Delhi will decide this. There is less than 6 months left for the Delhi elections.
Who will be the next Chief Minister?
On the other hand, on Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal being made the CM, Atishi said, “Who will be the next CM is not important. What is important is how long the Aam Aadmi Party government will last and it will work for the people of Delhi.” She said, “Ever since Arvind Kejriwal became the CM of Delhi, BJP has left no stone unturned to stop his work. He became the CM with 67 seats, in May 2015 such restrictions were imposed, an illegal notification was issued through NHA which took away all the power. One after the other such LGs were sent who imposed restrictions on Arvind Kejriwal. After 8 years of legal battle, the Kejriwal government got a decision in its favour from the Supreme Court that the elected government will have the power.
“Could not produce a single proof of corruption”
Delhi minister Atishi said, “For the last two years, BJP has left no stone unturned to harass AAP. Thousands of raids were conducted, but they could not present a single proof of corruption. BJP is afraid of elections. BJP knows that the people of Delhi are angry with the way false allegations were made against Arvind Kejriwal. That is why BJP does not want elections, because they know that the people of Delhi will express this anger in the form of their votes. If elections were held today, the people of Delhi would not give a single seat to BJP. All 70 seats will go to Aam Aadmi Party.”
