Mahila Samman Yojana
Arvind Kejriwal’s Mahila Samman Yojana is embroiled in controversies in Delhi. Congress and BJP had already raised questions on this plan. At the same time, Delhi officials had also given an advertisement in the newspaper saying that the Delhi government is not running any such scheme. Now Delhi Governor VK Saxena has ordered an investigation into this matter. Aam Aadmi Party has claimed that under this scheme, eligible women above 18 years of age will be given Rs 1000 every month. If Aam Aadmi Party wins the 2025 assembly elections, then this amount will be increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 2100.
Principal Secretary to LG, Delhi has written a letter to the Chief Secretary of Delhi and the Police Commissioner of Delhi. In this letter, the announcements of Aam Aadmi Party have been mentioned. In this, it has been said that every woman of Delhi (above 18 years of age) will be given Rs 1000 per month and if re-elected in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, this amount will be increased to Rs 2100 per month.
There will be an investigation regarding filling the form
The letter said that the LG has asked the Chief Secretary to conduct an inquiry through the Divisional Commissioner into the matter of collection of personal details and forms by private persons. Further, the Commissioner of Police may direct field officers to take action as per law against such people who are violating the privacy of innocent citizens by collecting personal information of them in the guise of providing benefits. If this happens, then action can be taken against the Aam Aadmi Party workers who have registered for the Mahila Samman Yojana.
