Delhi Police has arrested the cyber thug.
New Delhi: The cyber team of Delhi West Police has arrested a vicious cyber criminal who used to trap women by pretending to be an American model and extort money from them by blackmailing them. According to the police, the accused named Tushar Bisht had created fake profiles on Bumble, Snapchat and other chatting apps using a virtual international mobile number and fake ID. Police said that the accused used to befriend girls aged between 18 to 30 years by calling himself an America-based model, and after winning the trust of the girls, he used to ask for private photos and videos from them.
Photos and videos of hundreds of girls were found
Police said that as soon as the girls would send them their private pictures, the accused would blackmail Used to demand tax money. According to the police, if a girl refused to give money, he would threaten to upload her photos and videos on social media or sell them to someone. A shocking revelation came to light during the interrogation of Tushar after his arrest. Tushar told that he had contacted 500 girls on Bumble and about 200 girls on Snapchat and WhatsApp. Objectionable pictures and videos of many women were found in his mobile.
The student had filed a complaint
According to reports, a student of Delhi University had lodged a complaint at the Cyber Police Station on 13 December 2024. The student told that she had befriended a person on Bumble app in January 2024. The accused introduced himself as an America-based model and after friendship, both of them started talking on Snapchat and WhatsApp. Gradually the accused asked the student for her private pictures and videos and later blackmailed the student by sending her videos and demanded money. Under pressure, the student gave a small amount, but the accused’s demand increased. Frustrated, the student told the whole story to her family and lodged a complaint with the police.

Accused Tushar Bisht is a resident of Shakarpur, Delhi. A mobile phone, 13 credit cards and data of several girls were recovered from him. Tushar has done BBA and was working in a company in Noida. Investigation of the matter is ongoing.
