The bugle for assembly elections 2024 has been sounded in the national capital Delhi. This time the main contest in Delhi is between Aam Aadmi Party, BJP and Congress. Many big announcements are being made one after the other by all the political parties to woo the public. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has made another big announcement. Arvind Kejriwal has announced that if Aam Aadmi Party wins the Delhi Assembly elections, then Resident Welfare Association (RWA) will be provided financial assistance to hire private security guards.
BJP does not care about Delhiites- Kejriwal
Aam Aadmi Party convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party in a press conference on Friday. Kejriwal alleged that BJP has not cared about the welfare of the residents of Delhi. This is the reason why BJP has been away from power in Delhi for 27 years.
Delhi has been made crime capital- Kejriwal
Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that the Central Government has made Delhi a crime capital. People are scared. Kejriwal said- “BJP has nothing to do with Delhi. I have nothing to do with it. If AAP government is formed then it will give money to all the RWAs of Delhi to keep private security.” Its objective is that people can ensure better security around them by hiring private security guards.
When are the elections in Delhi?
The Election Commission has announced the date of assembly elections in the Union Territory of Delhi on Tuesday. Assembly elections for 70 seats in Delhi will be conducted in a single phase. According to the Election Commission, voting for Delhi Assembly elections will take place on 5 February 2025. At the same time, the results of the election will be released on 8 February 2025.
