Thiruvananthapuram: After the results of the ‘Senate’ election at Kerala University, there was a violent clash in student organizations on Thursday. According to reports, there was a lot of uproar between the Congress -backed Kerala Students Union i.e. KSU and Marxist Communist Party of Federation of India i.e. SFI workers. The seriousness of the situation can be gauged from the fact that after the clash, there was a tense situation at the university headquarters for several hours. Conflict started during counting process
The effect of violence between student organizations spread to the surrounding roads of Palayam, which also affected the traffic system. In the results, SFI captured 6 out of 7 general seats, while KSU won the post of Vice President in the University Union. KSU and SFI accused each other
