Two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto has launched the cheapest variant of its popular electric scooter Chetak 3503 today (April 28). Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 1.10 lakh.
The next generation model was launched in India with cosmetic changes and mechanical upgrade in December-2024, but the price of 3503 variants was not announced. Its other variants are 3501 and 3502.
The updated Bajaj Chetak has a new chassis frame used, with the battery pack placed under the floorboard. This will now provide a 35-liter under seat space in the e-scooter.
It has a large battery pack of 3.5kwh. The company claims that the new electric scooter will get a 153km range on full charge. However, it has less features from other variants 3501 and 3502.

Chetak 35 Series is the top-end series in the e-scooter company’s EV lineup. Chetak 3501 is priced at Rs 1,27,243 (ex-showroom, Bangalore), while 3502 is priced at Rs 1,19,999 (ex-showroom, Bangalore).
The company is offering a 3 -year/50,000 km warranty with the new Chetak. Chetak 35 Series will compete with electric scooters such as Vida V2, Ather Risk, Ola S1 Pro and TVS Icube.
Bajaj has increased dealerships in 507 cities and scooters can also be purchased on e-commerce platforms Amazon and Flipkart. Its booking has been started on the official website.

The new Chetak Electric Scooter 35 Series is being built at Bajaj Plant in Akurdi, Pune, where the manufacture of Chetak Scooter was first started in 1972.
Performance: 73kmph top speed and 153km range
Chetak 35 Series has an electric motor for performance. The company is not aware of its exact power at the moment. The company claims that 3501 and 3502 models of e-scooters can achieve top speed of 73kmph. At the same time, 3503 will get the top speed of 63kmph.
A new battery pack of 3.5kwh has been given to power the electric motor, which is the largest battery ever in Chetak. The company claims that the scooter will get a 153km IDC certified and a 120–125km real range once full charged.
The 3501 model will get an onboard charger of 950W, from which the battery pack can be charged 0-80% in just 3 hours. At the same time, 3502 gets a 950W offboard charger, which can charge the scooter 0-80% in 3:25 hours.



Design: 80mm long seat will be available for comfort seating Chetak scooter may look like an old model in appearance, but many changes have been made technically. The scooter’s platform has also been replaced. The new platform has also changed the control system, motor panel, battery position and its structure. This provides better range, storage space and comfort in the scooter.
The new Bajaj Chetak 35 Series has an e-scooter front horseshoe-shaped LED DRL, retro-style design with chrome elements and a tilted tail section. The 35 series has 80mm long seat compared to other variants. The e-scooter now has a large floorboard, which gives more space for the knee than before. Due to this, wheelbase has also increased by 25mm to 1,350mm.

Features: Map Navigation and Auto Hill Hold
Bajaj Chetak 3501: It has a new TFT touch display. It provides features like map navigation, smart-phone connectivity, fob (remort lock/unlock) and an eco riding mode. Both EV variants will also get advance safety features like Auto Hill Hold.
For more features, you have to buy tech-packs, which will get an extra riding sports mode. In addition, fully smartphone connectivity features will be available, which includes over-speed alert with geo-fencing, sequential blinker, guide me home light, hinged alert, trip and data analytics and speed limit settings.
Bajaj Chetak 3502: This variant has a TFT display, but it is not touch enabled and has a turn-by-turn navigation. This variant does not have a key-fib and instead provides mechanical key and only eco ride mode. Tack-packs provide features with 3501, but it does not have a sequential indicator and on-board document storage facility.
Bajaj Chetak 3503: The scooter has used color LCD display with basic Bluetooth connectivity. In the other two variants, drum brakes are given instead of disc brakes found in front. There are 3501 features in the tack-pack, but there are no sequential indicators in it.
