In the summer season, AC has become the basic need of every house. But, which AC to buy? This question often bothers the consumer’s mind. Because, the AC of wrong size will either increase the electricity bill or will not be able to cool the room properly.

1. How to know the correct size of AC (ton/BTU)?
answer: To know the correct size of AC, first measure the size of the room. Remove the square foot from the size length x width x width. After this, count 20 BTUs (British Terminal Unit) on every square foot.
Count 1 ton = 12,000 BTUs to remove size in tons. That is, a 1.5 ton AC means buying 18,000 BTU AC.
Example For your room is 10×12 i.e. 120 square feet. So every square foot 20 BTU i.e. 120 x 20 = 2400 BTU at 120 square feet.
According to this formula, you should buy 2400 BTU or 0.75 tonnes for 120 square feet of room.
2. What such to buy for more hot living rooms? What is the role of sunlight and windows in the room?
answer: The cause of excessive heat in the room can be the direction of windows. Often the heat of the windows of the west or south is high. In this case, take AC with 10-15% more BTU.
Glass windows brings heat to heat quickly. If the room has 2-3 large windows, increase the size of AC.
3. What is the difference between the inverter and normal AC? Which better?
answer: The inverter reduces speed when AC temperature arrives. Saves electricity, reduces noise. While the normal AC is repeatedly on-off, which increases electricity expenses. If you want to buy AC for a long time, then the inverter AC can take, as it saves electricity up to 30-40%.

- The duct AC is for large homes (1000+ square feet), both its price and installation are expensive.
6. The room is not getting cold? Then what should we do?
answer: Three factor can be responsible for this.
Oversized eC: By taking a larger AC than need, it will stop repeatedly, the room will not cool properly.
Insulation: Is the cold air leaking from the window-doors? If it is happening, get it sealed.
Such filter: Dirty filters reduce air flow. In such a situation, check the filter of AC and clean it.
