The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India i.e. TRAI will now examine the prepaid recharge plan of the Telecom Service Providers companies. Because, TRAI recently ordered telecom companies to give the option of Voice+SMS only pack separately for its users.
According to the CNBC report, after this, companies only released new tariff plans of voice calling + SMS. However, they were launched at the price of the data with data and removed only the data from them. That is, the old plan was removed and updated by removing the data, but the price was not reduced.

Customers are not beneficial in new tariff plan The new tariff plan of companies will not get any benefit to customers, but will be the only loss. For example, earlier Airtel’s annual plan was Rs 1999. In this, customers used to get 24 GB of data, but now the company has removed 24GB of data from it and this plan is offering customers only in the name of voice plan.
Customers get without data pack cheaply TRAI wanted customers to get a pack without data cheaply, as many users use the phone only for calling. However, they have to recharge for calling+SMS with existing data packs, which are quite expensive.
At the same time, many users use two SIMs, in which one is for calling and the other is for the Internet, but they have to recharge for both. In such a situation, the government issued a new guideline and ordered to issue SMS plans with only calling. This would provide direct benefit to about 30 crore mobile users of the country.

Jio-aiTel-VI had made 25% expensive recharges Three major telecom companies of the country- Vodafone-Idea, Jio and Airtel increased the price of recharge by 25% from July 3 and 4 this year. Then Jio’s Rs 239 plan was priced at Rs 299 and Airtel’s most affordable recharge plan now became Rs 199, after which there was a demand for pack without data.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India i.e. TRAI has fined Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea (VI) and BSNL due to failure to stop spam calls and messages. This information has been given in the Economic Times report.
Apart from four big companies, many small telecom operators have also been fined by TRAI. TRAI has imposed this fine on all companies under the Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR). In the latest round, TRAI has imposed a fine of ₹ 12 crore on all companies.
Total ₹ 141 crore fine on telecom companies
Telecom companies have a fine of ₹ 141 crore by adding the previous fine. However, companies have not yet paid these dues. TRAI has requested to redeem the bank guarantee of companies from the Department of Telecommunication (DOT), but the decision of DOT on it is still pending.
