Royal Enfield has revealed its first electric motorcycle at the ongoing automotive show EICMA-2024 in Milan, Italy. This EV named Flying Flea C6 has been developed by Royal Enfield in partnership with Flying Flea, which is a new subsidiary of Royal Enfield.
Apart from this, the company also introduced the 2.0 prototype model of Himalayan Electric and the S6 Scrambler concept model. Sales of the Flying Flea C6 will start by March 2026, along with which the Himalayan EV can also be launched. Whereas S6 can be launched after a year. Royal Enfield has also revealed that Flying Flea is a platform and they will launch more electric bikes based on it.

Features: Traction Control and Cornering ABS Talking about the features, the e-bike has a round TFT console, which is similar to the console seen on the Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450, but has a different layout. Along with this, features like smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation have been provided.
It will also show details like speed, trip meter, battery and range. Other features include traction control, cornering ABS, cruise control and 5 ride modes, making it the first Royal Enfield to include these advanced safety features.
Can get a range between 150-200km The battery pack looks quite large and Royal Enfield claims that the Flying Flea is meant for performance in the city and beyond, which means the e-bike can offer more range than a typical commuter electric motorcycle.
The company has not yet given information about the battery pack or electric motor. It is expected that a battery pack larger than 5kWh can be provided in it, which can provide a range of between 150-200km once fully charged.

Design: Retro bike inspired design The design of the Royal Enfield Flying Flea is inspired by retro bikes, like the original Flying Flea motorcycles used in the Second World War. Basically it was a 125CC single cylinder 2-stroke bike, which could be airdropped behind enemy lines via parachute.
The round headlight, tail-light and indicators of the e-bike are all LED. Where the battery pack is installed, the engine is usually located in a petrol bike and the company has also given it a cooling fin, which enhances the retro appeal.
Hardware: 19 inch alloy wheels and twin disc brakes The bike is built on a flowing forged aluminum frame, which aims to keep the bike lightweight and more agile and easy to handle. For comfort riding, its suspension setup has been provided with girder fork and monoshock suspension.
The use of girder forks on the bike is an interesting one, as it is something we used to see on bikes of the 30s and 40s. The Flying Flea rides on 19-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The braking setup includes twin disc brakes at both ends.

Himalayan Design: LED lighting setup with adventure style The new prototype retains the adventure styling of the Royal Enfield Himalayan, but its battery and motor have been improved. It is being said that at least two more prototype models will be introduced before the production model arrives.
The new model is inspired by the design of the existing Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Below there is a long windscreen, below which is a round LED headlight. In place of the fuel tank, there is a steel frame, which looks like the Himalayan 450.
A large battery pack and a mid-mounted motor are provided under the flat seat. The tank brace for the jerrycan and other accessories has been redesigned and the new model is finished in white as opposed to last year’s red color.

Himalayan Electric will get new battery and motor The USD front forks of the electric bike are made in gold shade. It also has round ORVMs, high seat, high ground clearance and clear tail section. The latest bike has an electronic suspension setup, single disc brake at both ends, new swingarm, gold color wire-spoke rims and a new digital interface. According to the company, the battery and motor of this concept are completely new. Right now it is in the testing and development phase and it will take a few years to launch.

The brand has also released the teaser of a scrambler bike called S6. This bike has enduro inspired design
