AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi met Hyderabad Commissioner CV Anand and submitted a representation on behalf of AIMIM to take legal action against Yeti Narasimhanand for allegedly making hate speech and derogatory statements against Prophet Mohammed. In fact, in Amravati, Maharashtra, stones were pelted by a mob demanding registration of an FIR against the Mahant of Das Siti Mandar in Ghaziabad district for his alleged objectionable remarks against Prophet Mohammed. 21 people have been injured in this stone pelting incident. Regarding this matter, the police said that after this incident, the police has registered a case against Mahant Yati Narasimhanand Maharaj.
Stone pelting on police in Amravati
Police said that stones were pelted outside the police station of Nagpuri Gate of Amravati on Friday. 21 people were injured and about 10 vans were damaged in this incident. A police officer said that a case has been registered against about 1200 people in this incident. Police have so far identified 26 people. Amravati Police Commissioner Naveen Chandra Reddy said, a mob of members of some organizations reached Nagpuri Gate police station in Amravati. Their demand was that a case should be registered against Mahant Yati Narasimhanand who had commented against Prophet Mohammad. He said that the in-charge of that police station told the crowd that an FIR had already been registered regarding their demand.
Action continues against stone pelters
The video of the remarks made by Mahant was circulated by some people, Reddy said. After this a large crowd reached Nagpuri Gate police station. After this the crowd started pelting stones at the policemen. He said that senior police officers handled the crowd well and dispersed it. After this, additional police force was sent to the spot to control the situation. Let us tell you that some policemen injured in the attack were sent to the hospital for treatment. The police is continuously taking action against the cows involved in the crowd.
