Right after updating the Activa 125 and SP125, Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India (HMSI) has launched the updated model of SP160. The company has made changes to the engine in the sporty bike as per the OBD2B emission norms. The bike now comes with some cosmetic changes and features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, digital instrument cluster and dual disc brakes. The bike will also run on E-20 petrol.
The bike is available in two variants. The price of its single disc brake variant is Rs 1,21,951 and the price of dual disc brake variant is Rs 1,27,956 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. The updated motorcycle is now available for sale at HMSI dealerships across the country. In the 160CC segment, this bike will compete with Bajaj’s Yamaha FZ, Bajaj Pulsar P150, Suzuki Gixxer and TVS Apache RTR160 2V.

What’s new in 2025 Honda SP160? Honda SP160 has been introduced with new graphics. Apart from this, no change has been made in its muscular design. The updated bike is available with four color options. This includes Radiant Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Deep Ground Gray and Athletic Blue Metallic colors.
To give a better look to the front of the bike, there is a new LED headlamp and a muscular fuel tank with a sporty shroud. Other highlights include an aerodynamic undercowl and bold mufflers with chrome covers, which add to its sporty look. There is also an LED taillight in the rear.
The bike has a new 4.2 inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The system is compatible with Honda RoadSync app, which offers features like turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts and music playback. The bike also has a USB Type-C charging port.

Hardware: 276mm dual front disc brakes No changes have been made in the rest of the bike. For comfort riding, it has telescopic fork at the front and monoshock at the rear. The braking setup includes a 276mm front disc brake and a 220mm rear disc brake in the double disc variant, while the single disc variant has a 130mm rear drum brake.
The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends with an 80-section front and 130-section rear tire setup. Its wheelbase is 1,347mm, ground clearance 177mm, seat height 79mm and fuel tank is 12 litres.
Performance: 13.5hp powerful engine The company has given a 162.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine in the bike. This engine also comes in Unicorn and XBlade, but the engine of SP160 has been tuned to make it more powerful and torquey than both the bikes. It generates power of 13.5hp and torque of 14.6Nm at 7500 rpm. This engine is OBD2B compliant, which means the bike will also run on E20 petrol.
For transmission, the engine gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. The SP160 is less powerful than sporty bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, but it competes with the Pulsar P150, Yamaha FZ and Suzuki Gixxer.
